Water Resources Department (WRD), Maharashtra has invited bids for the construction of an open canal system to a pipe distribution network for the Janai Shirsai Lift Irrigation Scheme.
The scope of work includes the conversion of the open canal to a more efficient pipe distribution system to improve water delivery for irrigation purposes. It also specifies operation, maintenance, and repairs for a five-year period, ensuring long-term sustainability and operational efficiency. The project aims to enhance water distribution, reduce losses, and increase agricultural productivity in the region.
The contract is valued at Rs 359.28 crore, with a closing date of 10 December, 2025.
