Bondada Engineering has received a letter of award (LoA) from AP TRANSCO for the development of a large-scale standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) project.

This order is strategically important for the company, as it will generate a stable, long-term annuity-based revenue stream, enhancing revenue stability, cash flow, and return predictability. The total value of the order is approx. Rs. 627 crore. With this new order, Bondada Engineering's cumulative BESS portfolio now totals nearly one GWh, establishing the company as a strong player in India’s growing energy storage sector. 

The contract will involve the development of a 225 MW / 450 MWh Standalone Battery Energy Storage System under the build-own-operate (BOO) model. The contract must be completed within 18 months from receiving the LoA, which aligns with India’s push toward grid-scale energy transition and infrastructure development in energy storage.
