Brindavan Beverages, a bottler for Coca-Cola India
(CCI), has set up a new PET bottling line at its existing plant at Bareilly, in
Uttar Pradesh, with an investment of Rs.6.5 crore. With this new PET line in
operation, the company proposes to cater to the entire Uttar Pradesh market.
The PET line would be used for bottling CCI’s
carbonated beverages such as Coke, Thums Up, Limca and Fanta and also CCI's
bottled water brand, Kinley.
Brindavan Beverages is owned by the Ladhani group, which
has four bottling plants for CCI in UP. According to Mr S N Ladhani, the
company’s Managing Director, a total of Rs.65 crore has been invested in the
bottling plant at Bareilly since 1998.
The other bottling plant of the Ladhani group in the
state are located at Agra under the name Brindavan Agro Industries, in Faizabad
as Amrit Bottlers and in Lucknow as Brindavan Bottlers.
The group is also planning a second plant for PET
bottles in Faizabad or Lucknow within 2 years.
