The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved the acquisition of additional stake in Thyssenkrupp Industries India (Target) by Protos Engineering, and Paharpur Cooling Towers. 

Protos serves as an agent for companies which manufactures equipment, machinery and raw materials in various sectors such as steel, cement, sugar, and several industrial products. It is also the sole selling agent of Thyssenkrupp Industries India, and offers industrial inspection and certification services.

Paharpur is engaged in the manufacture and sale of industrial cooling systems, generation of power (through wind). Paharpur Group is engaged in the development, and marketing of commercial and residential real estate projects, manufacture and sale of flexible packaging, pouches and retort pouches, and industrial valves and industrial pumps in India.

Target provides EPC services to execute turnkey projects in various industries and aftersales services, for manufacture and sale of various industrial products, and operation and maintenance (O&M)  for plants.
