The CERATIZIT Group, a global high-technology engineering company specialising in cutting tools and hard material solutions, has announced major expansions at its manufcaturing facilities in Uluberia, West Bengal, and Bommasandra, Bengaluru, Karnataka.
These projects reinforce CERATIZIT’s strategy of strengthening its India footprint, underscoring its view of India as both a critical market and a hub for global supply. “Strengthening local manufacturing and innovation in India” remains central to CERATIZIT’s approach. India, one of its fastest-growing markets, benefits from these investments aimed at producing locally for domestic industries while serving global customers.
The company already operates three plants in India—two in Bengaluru and one in Uluberia, which cater to sectors like aerospace, automotive, electronics, energy, and general engineering. The added capacity at Uluberia and Bommasandra will enable shorter lead times, customised products, and expanded export capability.
Highlighting its “ongoing commitment to sustainable growth in India,” CERATIZIT expects the upgraded facilities, due operational next year, to significantly enhance responsiveness to rising regional and global demand.
