Silmax, a precision cutting tools manufacturer, has inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Devanahalli, Bengaluru, aimed at supporting its expansion strategy and strengthening its presence in India.
The 10,000 sq. ft. facility, with 5,000 sq. ft. operational, is set to produce 4,000 to 5,000 cutting tools monthly, targeting a revenue of Rs 100 crore. The plant will enhance response times for customers in India and the Asia-Pacific region, improving the availability of milling and drilling tools. Silmax’s CEO, Dr. Dario Maria Fumagalli, highlighted the facility’s role in reducing response cycles and enabling quicker customisation.
Additionally, CEO Francis Kumar announced a training program starting in 2026 to develop young engineers into toolmakers, reflecting the company’s long-term commitment to India's manufacturing sector, particularly in aerospace and advanced manufacturing.
