1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

THDC India (THDCIL), has announced the commercial operation date (COD) for Unit-1 of the 1320 MW Khurja super thermal power plant (KSTPP). The milestone was officially declared at midnight on 25 January 2025. This announcement comes as a proud moment for the company, which has traditionally focused on harnessing hydropower.

The successful commissioning of this unit underscores THDCIL’s expanding expertise and excellence in the thermal power sector, reflecting the company’s broader commitment to India’s energy self-reliance. The KSTPP consists of two units of 660 MW each, contributing a total capacity of 1,320 MW. The plant has successfully completed all crucial testing phases, including full load testing of 660 MW, and a 72-hour trial run at full load. These achievements are key to ensuring that the plant meets performance standards and is fully ready to supply electricity to the grid.

The declaration of COD signifies the official operational readiness of the plant and its ability to contribute stable, efficient power to the nation’s grid, reinforcing THDCIL’s role in India’s long-term energy future.
