The Andhra Pradesh Government signed a concession agreement on 4 September
2010 with L&T Hyderabad Metro Rail Project.
The company will be setting up the metro rail at a cost of Rs 12,132 crore.
It covers three traffic corridors of Hyderabad-Miyapur to LB Nagar (28.87 km),
JBS to Falaknuma (14.78 km) and Nagole to Shilparamam (27.51 km).
L&T has sought a grant of Rs 1,458 crore (12 per cent) which will be borne by
the Union Government. L&T has to submit a bank guarantee for Rs 360 crore as
performance security to the government and achieve financial closure in six
months.
The company has to complete geophysical and traffic surveys, freeze metro
rail viaduct alignment and various facilities for the stations and depots and
submit details designs and drawing for approval from authorities of Hyderabad
Metro Rail, Indian Railways and NHAI.
