DCC Infra Projects has been declared the lowest bidder (L1) for the doubling of track between Dhansiri (km 241.000, including) and Naojan (km 285.860, excluding), covering a total length of 44.860 km.
The engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract also includes electrification and signalling works, forming a crucial part of the Lumding-Tinsukia Junction to Dibrugarh doubling project under the Northeast Frontier Railway in Assam. Awarded on an EPC mode basis, the contract is valued at Rs. 559.21 crore.
The project aims to enhance capacity, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen rail connectivity in the northeastern region. The track doubling, along with the electrification and signaling upgrades, will facilitate smoother and faster train operations, boosting freight and passenger movement.
