ICICI Bank, in partnership with Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), has begun construction of the ‘ICICI Foundation Block for Radiation Oncology’ at TMC’s Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Funded through the bank’s Rs 625 crore CSR contribution, the project forms part of ICICI’s larger Rs 1,800 crore commitment to TMC for establishing three advanced cancer care buildings across Navi Mumbai, Mullanpur (Punjab), and Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh). The 11-storey facility, including a ground floor and two basements, will cover 3.4 lakh sq. ft. and house 12 linear accelerators (LINACs) for precise radiation therapy.
Designed to treat 7,200 patients annually and provide over 2,00,000 radiation sessions, the centre will also support 25,000 new OPD consultations each year. Equipped with cutting-edge cancer treatment technologies, the building is slated for completion by 2027, strengthening India’s advanced oncology infrastructure and expanding access to world-class cancer care.
