DLF Hotel Hilton, a 74:26 joint
venture between DLF group and Hilton International Co, plans to build three
properties, two hotels - one in luxury category and the other a business hotel -
and a service apartment unit in Kolkata.
The three properties with a total of
670 rooms will entail a combined investment of around Rs.500 crore. The company
has already been allotted five-and-a-half acres of land by the Kolkata Municipal
Corporation. The proposed luxury hotel will have 320 rooms, the business or
budget hotel will have 250 rooms and the service apartment unit will have 100
rooms.
DLF group has also planned a 2,000
acres, Rs.3,000 crore multipurpose project at Dankuni, about 30 km north of
Kolkata. This will include an SEZ for textiles units, an IT SEZ, one industrial
project and a hundred-acres residential-cum-township project with schools,
hospitals and other civic infrastructures.
The textile SEZ will occupy around 250
acres of land, while the housing complex will require about 100 acres. Our
proposal envisaged accommodation of around 40 small and medium non-integrated
spinning, weaving, knitting and dyeing units.
