On 11 November 2006, Delhi Metro inaugurated
the Barakhamba Road - Indraprastha section, a part of Delhi Metro Rail Project
(Phase I).
The opening of the 2.81 km section has
three stations - Mandi House, Pragati Maidan and Indraprastha and is a part of Line 3, the longest stretch of the network with a length of
32 km and having 31 underground and overground stations, between Dwarka
sector nine and Indraprastha.
