Petronet LNG's
plans of doubling the capacity of its recently-commissioned Dahej
terminal are expected to take shape in July 2004.
The project
would be launched by constructing the third LNG storage tank. The
detailed feasibility report of the project will be placed before
the PLL board by the end of April 2004. The EPC contract is
likely to be awarded in June 2004, following which physical work
would commence.
Meanwhile, PLL's
5 million tpa storage facility (translating to 10 mmscmd) is
currently operating at 60 per cent capacity. Supplies have
already commenced -- 60 per cent is being picked up by Gail, 30
per cent by IOC and the balance 10 per cent by BPCL.
