Petronet LNG has signed a Rs 1,200 crore regasification agreement with Performance Chemiserve, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation.

The 5.5-year contract, signed on July 10, will see Petronet supply approx. 25.6 TBTUs of liquefied natural gas (LNG) annually from its Dahej terminal in Gujarat, beginning between May and July 2026 and continuing through 31 December, 2031. The deal provides an option for up to 20 percent revenue upside over the contract duration and is aimed at fueling Deepak Fertilisers’ manufacturing operations in Taloja.

In FY25, Petronet handled 18 million tonne per annum (MTPA) of LNG across its Dahej and Kochi terminals, with Dahej being one of the busiest regasification terminals globally. The company sees this agreement as part of its strategy to consolidate partnerships and enhance operational efficiency at its terminals.
