Taiwan-based Delta Electronics had announced in 2015 an investment of USD 500 million in India, as part of its expansion under the ‘Make in India’ initiative. The company’s Indian arm has made significant investments since entering the market in 2003.

President of Delta Electronics India, Benjamin Lin, at Elecrama 2025 in Greater Noida emphasized India as a key market, highlighting Delta’s commitment to industrial and energy transformation through local innovation, manufacturing excellence, and sustainability.

A major portion of the investment is allocated to expanding the Krishnagiri facility, which is set to become operational by late 2025. Krishnagiri, located 90 km from Bengaluru, focuses on manufacturing solutions for electric mobility, including fast EV charging infrastructure, telecom solutions like DC convertors and rectifiers, and energy-efficient data centre technologies.

At Elecrama 2025, Delta showcased its D-Bot series collaborative robots, designed for smart factory automation with advanced safety features. Additionally, Delta introduced its 240kW direct current fast EV charger, developed by its Indian R&D and engineering teams. The charger, boasting 95% efficiency, supports dual-vehicle charging and features wired/4G GSM connectivity. This strategic investment aims to boost India’s self-reliance in smart manufacturing and energy infrastructure, aligning with global industry standards.
