Syrma SGS Technology, a Chennai-based electronics firm, is set to partner with South Korea’s Shinhyup Electronics to establish India’s largest multi-layer printed circuit board (PCB) and copper clad laminate (CCL) manufacturing facility in Naidupeta, Andhra Pradesh.
The two firms plan to invest Rs 1,800 crore in this project, which is expected to be operational by 2026–27. The facility will support key sectors including smart metering, healthcare, automotive, and electric mobility. The project aligns with the Government of India’s Rs 22,919 crore Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme and may qualify for production-linked incentives (PLI).
Syrma SGS has also approached the Andhra Pradesh government for incentives like capital subsidies and skilling support. The location was chosen for its proximity to Chennai, and access to land and water. As per data, South India is positioned as the hub for PCB demand, citing the automotive industry’s shift towards electrification and ADAS
