Engie India announced the signing of a power purchase agreement (PPA) for 300 MW of solar PV with NTPC, following the auction conducted by REC Power Development and Consultancy (RECPDCL) for 1,250 MW inter-state transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar projects – Tranche I, at a tariff of Rs 2.55/kWh.
Gurdeep Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, NTPC, and Paulo Almirante, Senior Executive Vice President of ENGIE, led the discussions emphasizing the shared commitment to advancing grid resilience and promoting sustainable development. The dialogue focused on deepening collaboration to accelerate India’s energy transition and position clean energy as a global story of impact. The company stated, “Our focus remains clear: delivering world-class renewable solutions and partnerships that create lasting value for communities and the planet.”
Earlier, Engie India had signed a 100 MW PPA with PTC India. ENGIE now operates and constructs over 2.3 GW of renewable capacity in India, demonstrating strong ambition and strategic partnerships.
