ETA Power Generation, a part of the ETA Ascon Star Group, is likely to set up
a 2X660 MW thermal power plant in Nagapattinam district of Tamil Nadu, at an
investment of Rs 5,200 crore.
The company is in the process of acquiring 500 acre in Nagapattinam for the
project. While the Unit I of the project is slated to be completed by March
2014, the Unit II will be completed in six to nine months after the completion
of the first unit.
The company is holding talks with Power Trading Corporation to sell the power
generated from the proposed plant.
