Ecolab, a Minnesota-based provider of water, hygiene and energy technologies, in partnership with SMC2, has set up Ecolab Digital Center (EDC) in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
The EDC in two months of its operations has ramped up its headcount to 80 people and is expected to serve as a global Digital Innovation Centre of Excellence. For this, the company has partnered with SMC2, a provider of digital centre development. Ecolab will increase speed, scale and efficacy of its digital offerings.
Teams at EDC will work collaboratively with Ecolab’s information technology and commercial digital solutions teams to accelerate introduction of key digital solutions.
Currently, Ecolab produces water treatment, food and laundry solutions in two manufacturing plants in Kolkata and Pune, and operates Global Systems Assurance Centre in Pune. The facility monitors around 40,000 global customer sites and also helps them save water and energy.
