Essar Shipping Ports and Logistics (ESPLL), a comprehensive logistics
services company with presence in sea transportation, ports & terminals,
logistics and oilfields services, has inked a License Agreement with Paradip
Port Trust for the mechanisation of Central Quay - III berth with capacity to
handle 16 million tpa of dry bulk cargo at Paradip Port, Orissa
ESPLL is expected to handle both third party and captive cargo at the berth.
The license is for a period of 10 years, extendable by another five years with
mutual consent.
In the past, the company was awarded the project for development of 14
million tpa Deep Draught Coal Berth at Paradip Port on BOT basis for a
concession period of thirty years with a project cost of Rs 560 crore for
handling third party cargo.
