FM Global, one of the world’s largest commercial property insurers, plans to set up its biggest office outside the United States, in Bengaluru.

The 1,00,000 sq. ft. facility will be located at Manyata Tech Park and will serve as a client experience centre and innovation hub. “After evaluating multiple cities across Asia, FM selected Bengaluru due to its rich engineering talent pool, AI and startup ecosystem, and proximity to leading research institutions such as IISc,” said Srini Krishnamurthy, Senior Vice President, FM India.

The centre will focus on data science, artificial intelligence, risk engineering, and digital product development, aligning with FM’s global strategy of loss prevention over claims processing. FM Global has operated in India since 2003, but this investment marks a significant expansion.

The new office will feature fire and sprinkler testing labs, advanced simulation platforms, and client training facilities. The company also plans to open a Mumbai sales office later this year.
