Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on 29 September, 2025 laid the foundation stone for 60 urban development projects worth Rs 699.79 crore under AMRUT 2.0 during the Sewa Parv celebrations organised by the Housing and Urban Development Department (H&UDD) in Jammu.
Emphasising sustainable urban planning, Sinha called for bold, ground-level execution to shape future cities and mitigate environmental challenges. He highlighted the Tawi Riverfront as a model for climate-resilient infrastructure and urged replication of Jammu Municipal Corporation’s Swachhata Internship Programme and Green Colony initiative across J&K.
Addressing the event, LG Sinha praised ongoing efforts for inclusive development, improved infrastructure, and integration of smart technologies to build vibrant, liveable cities.
