Global Indian Foundation (GIF), a Singapore based non-profit foundation that
operates a pan-Asian educational chain of 21 institutions, proposes to set up
100 Global Indian International School (GIIS) campuses in India.
Each campus is likely to entail a cost of Rs 25-40 crore and will be set up
in a span of seven to eight years.
On 4 April 2010, GIF launched its campus in Hyderabad sprawled over eight
acre. The other campuses are to come up in Chennai, Kochi, Bangalore, Kurnool
and Thiruvananthapuram over the next three years.
