Gail (India) on 19 May 2006 announced
the completion of its Rs.150 crore Thulendi-Phulpur pipeline. The project was
commissioned at a cost Rs.70 crore lower than the originally anticipated Rs.220
crore. Gas supplies have commenced to Indian Farmers Fertiliser Co-operative.
The project forms
the part of its 7,900 km cross-country National Gas Grid Project. In April 2004,
Gail had completed the
Dahej-Vijaipur gas
pipeline -- another important segment of the NGG.
Other NGG segments currently under
execution are:
- 474 km Dahej-Uran pipeline,
scheduled for completion by March 2007
- 375-km Panvel-Dabhol pipeline,
scheduled for commissioning in March 2007
- 192-km Vijaipur-Kota pipeline,
scheduled for completion in December 2006.
