Gannon Dunkerley & Co. has emerged as the L1 (lowest) bidder for a major pollution abatement initiative under the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA).
The company's winning bid stands at Rs 90.95 crore. The scope of work involves comprehensive infrastructure development in the added areas of Kalyani Municipal Town, specifically covering Ward numbers 1, 2, 3 (partially), and 14 under Phase-1 of the project. Key components of the project include the construction of a modern sewage treatment plant (STP), a main pumping station (MPS), a sewage pumping station (SPS), an integrated sewer network, and other allied works.
The project will play a vital role in enhancing environmental sustainability and public health in the targeted wards by effectively managing and treating wastewater. The selection of Gannon Dunkerley & Co. as the lowest bidder demonstrates the company's competitiveness and technical capability in executing large-scale civil infrastructure and urban development projects.
