The Union Ministry of Petroleum &. Natural Gas mulls to develop a Green
Corridor along the Lucknow-Delhi highway to provide refuelling facility to
Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles.
The proposed corridor is likely to pass through Bareilly, Moradabad, Rampur
and Ghaziabad. GAIL is to be the implementing agency for the project.
The project aims at ensuring availability of CNG in 200-odd towns of India,
including 30 in Uttar Pradesh, by 2015.
