The Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) has accorded environmental clearance for the Airports Authority of India, Adampur, for establishment of civil enclave at Adampur, Jalandhar district, Punjab.
The proposed civil enclave will be located over 40 acre of land parcel. The terminal building covering an area of 5000 sq mtr has been designed for peak hour capacity of 300 passengers.
The link taxiway to connect civil enclave will be 115 mtr x 18 mtr with wide shoulders of 3.5 mtr. The apron will be of 120 mtr x 112 mtr with 3.5 mtr (suitable for two A-320 type of aircraft). At the civil enclave parking facilities will be provided for 150 cars.
The estimated cost of the project is Rs 105 crore. The project will provide direct job opportunities for 150 persons and indirect jobs for 500 persons.
The total power requirement for is estimated at 750 kW for the proposed terminal building and other facilities at the proposed civil enclave.
The Terms of Reference (ToR) was granted by the Ministry on 7 December 2017.
