Greenlam Industries has announced an investment of Rs 1,147 crore to set up a high-pressure laminate and particle board manufacturing facility in Naidupeta, Andhra Pradesh. This will be South India’s largest facility of its kind, designed to meet the increasing demand in the Indian engineered wood and home decor sectors.
The Andhra Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, will support the project with Rs 329 crore in incentives, accounting for over 30 percent of the total project cost. The facility will have an annual production capacity of seven million sheets of high-pressure laminate and 2.9 lakh cubic mtrs. of wood-based particle boards.
Greenlam plans to deploy a technologically advanced Continuous Press System from Dieffenbacher, Germany. This will be the only plant in South India using such a system, adhering to global standards of manufacturing, safety, and environmental sustainability.
