Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) has secured a contract worth Rs 368.6 crore from IRCON International in Jammu & Kashmir.
The scope of work includes construction of the cable stayed bridge including its approaches across river Anji Khad in the state.
The bridge, with a total length of 473.25 mtr, will connect tunnel T2 and T3 on Katra-Banihal section of the Udhampur, Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link project. This will be the longest cable stayed bridge for Indian Railways, with a 290 mtr long main span.
The project is to be completed in 36 months.
