HERE Technologies and Genesys International have announced a strategic partnership to develop next-generation in-car navigation systems aimed at curbing distracted driving in India.

Announced on 09 July, 2025, the collaboration will integrate HERE’s AI-powered mapping and real-time traffic data with Genesys International’s India-specific Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technology. A recent survey by HERE revealed that 98 percent of Indian road users are concerned about road safety, and 91 percent believe ADAS functions are essential for improving it.

The joint solution will deliver intelligent navigation systems for Indian automakers, combining safety and infotainment features. Real-time road updates, speed limits, traffic conditions, and EV charging station information will be integrated via HERE’s dynamic mapping platform, while Genesys will provide localized ADAS support. “This partnership bridges global expertise and local innovation,” said Deon Newman, SVP for Asia Pacific at HERE. The companies will also set up a dedicated mobility innovation centre in India to address regional driving challenges.
