The Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC) is set to revise the detailed project report (DPR) for the proposed Metro extension from Palam Vihar to Dwarka Sector-21, according to HMRTC officials.
The consultancy firm Rail India Technical and Economic Service (RITES) will be tasked with updating the DPR, including modifications related to project cost, financial analysis, and economic evaluation. The revisions are needed due to changes in ground conditions, such as the decision to use different rolling stock for the Gurugram Metro and a shift in plans regarding its integration with the Rapid Metro at Cyber City.
The updated plan will also account for a proposed parallel Metro line by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) from Yashobhoomi to Iffco Chowk, which may affect ridership and route finalisation. The proposed 8.4 km elevated Metro line will connect Palam Vihar to Dwarka Sector 21, with multiple stations planned along the corridor.
