Haryana Power Generation Corporation (HPGCL) has commissioned a 10 MW solar power plant at Panipat Thermal Power Station, Panipat, in the state of Haryana.
The solar power plant project has been commissioned 36 days in advance. The plant has produced and supplied around 10,000 units of electricity to the grid.
The project was awarded to Sterling and Wilson for an amount of Rs 57.67 crore in May 2016. The operation and maintenance of the project will be carried out by Sterling and Wilson for the initial five years.
The solar power plant project is anticipated to generate around 17 million units of electricity per annum, while the tariff of electricity will be Rs 4.88 per unit.
