1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

Haryana govt approves budget for Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Medical University

The government of Haryana has sanctioned approval to a budget of Rs 750 crore for the construction of Phase-I of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Medical University, Karnal, at Kutail village.

The assigned company has floated tenders for the various construction works. The tenders will be opened at the end of November 2019. In the Phase-I, a 750-bed super speciality hospital and administrative block will be constructed on the premises of the university.

Apart from this, the university will have one medical college of 200 seats, a dental college and 50-bed trauma centre to tackle emergency and accident cases.

The buildings of the nursing and physiotherapy colleges have already been constructed at the cost of Rs 26 crore and Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had inaugurated those on 12 September 2019.

The CM had announced the project of the university on 13 December 2014, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid the foundation stone of the project on 12 February 2019 digitally from Kurukshetra.

Earlier, it was to be set up on 178 acre, but now, it is being constructed on 140 acre. The government has also approved Rs 36 crore for direct connectivity from NH-44 to this university. However, the land for the direct connectivity is yet to be acquired from farmers.
