Haryana's High-Powered Works Purchase Committee (HPWPC), chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, finalised tenders worth Rs 4,016 crore for infrastructure development.
The meeting saw discussions on 58 tenders, with 56 moving forward after detailed negotiations, resulting in an estimated savings of Rs 150 crore. This was seen as a step toward better financial management and resource use. Key government Ministers, including Anil Vij, Mahipal Dhanda, and Vipul Goel, were present at the meeting. The approved projects aim to strengthen Haryana's power distribution sector, including reducing line losses, establishing new substations, and upgrading existing ones.
A key decision was also made to implement SCADA and DMS/OMS systems in Gurugram. Other major urban development projects were approved, including the four-laning of master roads under the Sonipat Metropolitan Development Authority.
