The Haryana government has announced the resumption of land acquisition for expanding industrial infrastructure in Ambala Cantonment, with plans to acquire nearly 2,600 acres adjacent to the Saha Industrial Area.
State Energy and Transport Minister Anil Vij confirmed that the new land will host an Industrial Area and Logistic Park, supported by a Railway freight terminal nearby. The integrated project aims to enhance regional infrastructure, promote industrial growth, and generate thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities. The Minister directed the Ambala Deputy Commissioner to expedite the acquisition process. Several farmers had already expressed willingness to provide their land through the e-Bhoomi portal.
Officials highlighted that the synergy between the proposed industrial zone, logistic park, and freight terminal would streamline production, transportation, and export operations. By accelerating industrial activity and offering comprehensive facilities, the project is expected to contribute to Haryana’s economic growth.
