Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced that the Himachal Pradesh government will invest Rs 207.50 crore to strengthen diagnostic services across the state's health institutions.
“The government is committed to reviving the ailing healthcare system by launching a systemic transformation of public health institutions. As part of this initiative, the government has proposed a comprehensive investment of Rs 606.70 crore, with Rs 207.50 crore earmarked specifically for strengthening diagnostic services in the state,” CM said in a statement.
According to the proposal, four major medical colleges in Shimla, Mandi, Nahan, and Chamba, along with the Atal Institute of Medical Super Specialities in Chamiyana, will get high-resolution 1.5 Tesla and 3 Tesla MRI machines. Additionally, seven medical colleges will receive CT imaging machines, mobile DR units, ceiling-suspended DR X-ray machines, ultrasound systems, mammography units, and PACS.
