Hindustan Foods (HFL) has commenced operations for Phase-1 of its new ice cream manufacturing facility in Nashik, Maharashtra. This development marks a major milestone for the company as it strengthens its foothold in the ice cream segment, positioning itself as a preferred contract manufacturer within the industry.
The facility will focus on ramping up production and stabilising operations across a range of product categories, aligning with HFL’s strategy to cater to both legacy brands and new-age companies in the ice cream market. With the Nashik plant operational, HFL is poised to not only meet seasonal demand surges but also support long-term growth aims.
President of the Ice Cream Division at HFL, Manoj Patani, expressed optimism about the new plant’s potential and the broader growth trajectory of the sector. He stated, “We are thrilled with the momentum in our Ice Cream business as we gear up for the upcoming season. The confluence of rising urbanization, growing disposable incomes, evolving consumer preferences and the rapid adoption of quick commerce is fueling sustained double-digit growth across the sector.”
The company aims to capitalise on this market expansion by collaborating with a varied portfolio of clients and delivering high-quality products at scale. HFL is also strategically investing in backward integration and widening its product offerings to further strengthen its value proposition and deepen customer engagement.
