Hindustan Power has entered into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation (UPPCL) to develop a 435 MW direct current (MW DC) solar power project in Uttar Pradesh.
The agreement mandates a 25-year supply of clean electricity, aligning with the state government's target of achieving 22,000 MW of renewable capacity by FY27. The project was awarded to Hindustan Power through a competitive bidding process conducted in April 2025. It is expected to bolster sustainable development, generate employment, and contribute significantly to Uttar Pradesh's energy transition goals.
Chairman Ratul Puri emphasized, "We are moving ahead at full pace to ensure that every aspect, from site development to stakeholder coordination, is executed seamlessly and on schedule. This project reflects our strong focus on delivering clean and reliable energy while supporting Uttar Pradesh's vision of becoming a trillion-dollar economy."
Hindustan Power, a leading integrated power generation company, continues to expand its presence in renewable and transitional energy sectors, reinforcing its commitment to India’s clean energy future.
