In its endeavour to augment its educational infrastructure, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore launched its Group VIII Project, ‘ABHYUDAYA’. The project worth Rs 432 crore was inaugurated with Bhumi Pujan. This expansion will both enhance its academic offerings, and would also significantly contribute to the holistic development of students and faculty.
This project focuses on sustainable development and aids moving towards a net-zero campus, through solar power systems and solar water heating, while aiming to minimise reliance on non-renewable energy sources, The installation of a sewage treatment plant (STP) will allow the institute for the recycling of wastewater and reducing water consumption.
Additionally, the comprehensive landscaping plans include the use of native plant species and the development of green spaces which enhance biodiversity, along with benefits like natural cooling and air purification.
