Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) has invited expressions of interest (EoIs) from interested entities to collaborate as implementation partners for establishing compressed biogas (CBG) plants across various states in India.
The initiative seeks to explore multiple implementation modes, including joint venture companies (JVC), EPC, BOO, BOOT, and LSTK models. The proposed plants will be based on locally available feedstock within a 20–30 km radius. The partners will be responsible for key activities including land identification and acquisition, detailed feasibility studies, feedstock arrangement, technology deployment, plant design and construction, and ongoing operations and maintenance.
The move is aimed at promoting clean energy and supporting India’s sustainable fuel goals.
The last date to submit EOIs is 31 October, 2025.
