India will make an investment of USD two billion in solar projects in Africa, out of the USD 10 billion concessional line of credit for Africa.
Three more countries, namely Cote d’lvoire, Somalia and Ghana have inked the International Solar Alliance (ISA) Framework Agreement on the sidelines of the African Development Bank’s annual meeting in Gandhinagar.
The Republic of Nauru has ratified the framework agreement of ISA.
So far, the total number of signatories to the ISA agreement has reached 31, with six countries having approved the agreement. Mauritius will sign and ratify the framework agreement on 27 May, 2017, while Fiji has completed the ratification process and will deposit the instrument with the MEA in a few weeks.
