Infosys, the IT major and leader in consulting and outsourcing solutions, has inked a pact with Volvo Cars Corporation to provide application development services for its global operations.

The IT major has been selected as a strategic supplier by Volvo Cars and has been supporting Volvo since 2010 to rationalise and integrate its enterprise systems.

As per the agreement, Infosys will provide its global service delivery experience and ability to drive innovation and transformation. It will develop applications to support multiple domains, including marketing and sales, customer service, manufacturing, product development and corporate functions.

Besides, it will deploy practices specifically related to business process harmonisation and deliver excellence across transformation projects.

Also, the collaboration between the companies highlights Infosys' focus on the Nordic market and strengthens their presence in Sweden.
