Michael W. Lamach, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Ingersoll Rand inaugurated the new greenfield manufacturing plant near Chennai in Tamil Nadu.

Ingersoll Rand’s new greenfield manufacturing facility is located in Mahindra World City. The facility will manufacture a wide range of equipment including bus and truck air conditioners and commercial heating, ventilation and air conditioning products. The delivery of products manufactured and distributed from the new facility will begin in May 2013.

Ingersoll Rand’s manufacturing facility reinforces the overall growth strategy to drive innovation, technology and product development specifically catering to markets such as industrial efficiency, transportation, food security, environmental control in buildings and energy management. Products and solutions manufactured in this facility will be for both the Indian as well as global markets.
