InterGlobe Enterprises and Canadian flight simulation leader CAE will set up a pilot training centre in Mumbai to address India’s soaring demand for cockpit crew.
Operated through their joint venture CAE Simulation Training (CSTPL), the 44,000 sq. ft . facility will accommodate up to six full-flight simulators, with operations scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2026. The centre will initially feature two Airbus A320 simulators and later expand to include Boeing and ATR aircraft training modules.
Programmes will cover type rating, recurrent training, and proficiency checks, equipping pilots with advanced skills across multiple aircraft platforms. CSTPL already operates three aviation training centres in Greater Noida, Gurugram and Bengaluru, with 23 simulators in total. “The new Mumbai centre expands CSTPL's ability to meet the growing demand for professional pilots in India,” said Michel Azar-Hmouda, CAE’s Division President.
