Microchip Technology India has acquired 1.72 lakh sq. ft. of office space in Bengaluru for Rs 176 crore, according to Propstack data.
Microchip, a leading provider of semiconductor solutions, is expanding its footprint in India to support growing demand for advanced electronics. The deal covers two commercial blocks in EPIP Zone, Phase-II, located along the eastern IT corridor of Whitefield. The seller, Ascendum Solutions India, transferred the blocks, each comprising a basement, ground, and three floors, with built-up areas of 92,098 sq. ft. and 80,395 sq. ft., respectively.
EPIP Zone is one of Whitefield’s most prominent business districts, known for IT parks, residential clusters, and connectivity that attracts professionals. The acquisition underscores Bengaluru’s continued appeal to global technology and R&D firms. The transaction is seen as a strategic move aligning with Bengaluru’s role as a key hub for IT and electronics. The Whitefield office will strengthen Microchip’s operational base in India, reinforcing its long-term commitment to the market.
