Kyndryl, formerly IBM’s infrastructure services unit, announced a Rs 18,750 crore (USD 2.25 billion) investment in India over the next three years, focusing on modernising critical technology infrastructure, boosting AI adoption, and advancing talent development.
The company will establish an AI Innovation Lab in Bengaluru, strengthening collaboration with the Government of India on AI and digital public infrastructure initiatives. It will also extend digital training to nearly 200,000 citizens and enhance IT talent development. The planned initiatives include investments in AI, cybersecurity, and hybrid IT modernisation, aligning with India’s long-term digital and economic growth.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed the commitment, stating, "India warmly welcomes global partners to explore the vast opportunities in our nation and collaborate with our talented youth to innovate and excel.” Kyndryl’s expertise continues to benefit enterprises modernising data systems and deploying AI.
