Jamshedpur Utilities &
Services Company Ltd (Jusco), a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Steel, bagged a
Rs.152 crore water management contract for Mysore city from Mysore City
Corporation and Karnataka Urban Water Supply & Drainage Board.
Jusco signed an
agreement to this effect on 2 December 2008. The project will be implemented in
three phases over a period of six years. Of the total project cost 80 per cent
will come through the already sanctioned JNNURM fund for improving the water
supply infrastructure in Mysore city, while the balance funding will come
equally from the Karnataka Government and Mysore City Corporation.
