Energy transition platform Jakson Green has signed an agreement with Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam (RUVNL) to supply electricity from its upcoming 100 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in the state.
The company inked a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Rajasthan's power distribution company for power supply from its upcoming plant. This would be the Jakson’s first agreement for the said project, which will be commissioned within 18 months from the date of signing the PPA.
Upon completion, the 100-MW plant is likely to generate clean electricity for over 80,000 households annually and eliminate 1,87,578 MT per year of carbon emissions. By securing this project, Jackson Green is poised to make a significant impact on India's renewable energy landscape while reinforcing its position as a key independent power producer (IPP). The company is an energy transition platform backed by infrastructure and renewable major Jakson Group.
In April 2023, RUVNL invited proposals for setting up solar PV projects across Rajasthan, where Jakson Green emerged as the winning bidder for a project of 100 MW capacity.
