Jakson Engineers, part of Jakson Group, plans to invest over Rs 8,000 crore to establish a six GW integrated solar manufacturing facility in Madhya Pradesh, marking the state’s largest solar manufacturing investment.
The project, spread across 110 acres in Maksi Phase II, will be executed in two phases. Phase-I, with Rs 2,000 crore investment, will deliver three GW each of solar modules and cells, with production expected by May and September 2026 respectively.
Phase II, valued at over Rs 6,000 crore, will add a six GW solar wafer plant and an additional three GW each of modules and cells.
Gagan Chanana, CEO of Jakson Solar Modules and Cells, highlighted its unique “four-in-one” model spanning manufacturing, EPC, development, and O&M, aimed at lowering costs and boosting self-reliance. Madhya Pradesh was chosen for its central location and supportive policies. The plant will create over 1,000 construction work opportunities and 1,400 permanent roles.
