Jayashree Ethanol Distillation is planning to set up a grain-based distillery/ethanol plant with a capacity of 180 klpd at Sattigeri village in Soundatti taluka, Belagavi district of Karnataka.

The proposed unit will cover over 25 acres of land and involve a co-generation power plant of 6 MW. In May 2022, Jayashree Ethanol Distillation received approval from the State-Level Single Window Clearance Committee (SLSWCC) for the project. Similarly, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) granted environmental clearance (EC) on 28 July 2022.

According to the updates shared with Projects Today (PT), the company is awaiting the financial closure for its new manufacturing unit.

Work on the project is expected to start by August 2023. Further, the company is in the process of finalising the contractors and machinery suppliers for the project.
